The elevator for zhang was inspired by the shape and form and Chinese lanterns, similar to what you may see at Chinese New Year. The texture of the elevator is worth noting as when it was placed in UT the material was a bright yellow wire. This is to reflect the concept of recycling through waste paper bins that made Zhang’s career so powerful.
