One Point Perspectives

Mashup

No matter how blonde your hair or trim your figure, time eventually has its way. Indeed, Steve Jobs has this gift as Donatella Versace appears to be finding out. She started out from a modest background, the daughter of a military officer. Now she dominates signs of ageing, deep wrinkles, long platinum hairstyle, deep tan and the revealing clothes. Steve's atypical lifestyle has also left a strong mark on the bridge of the nose, which they believe could be due to excessive sun damage or simply botched surgery. Now, with the paper industry shifting to China, where labor and land are cheaper Steve is said to be tyrannical toward his employees, to often use public humiliation and to fire people at will. "My goal is to make a former cocaine addict make public appearances very often so that I don't have to waste time every morning wondering what I'm going to wear”. A year is a long time in fashion: Donatella Versace looking down in the mouth in New York this week. As a result when Steve came back to Apple in 1997, the word spread that he could enter a meeting+room full of employees, call their work “shit” and then fire them all on the spot, including Oprah Winfrey, Martha Stewart, and the chief executive of eBay, Meg Whitman. "She's a visionary," said Herman Woo about Donatella Versace having the power to seduce almost anyone and convince them of almost anything, even beyond common sense.

UT2004 Final Environment

The light texture of this environment stimulates the aim of reaching individuality of thought and action and therefore achieving change for the better. The texture pattern gives a linear organic look, this together with the far distance you have to travel to get to the destination represents the far off habitats Goodall has to go to achieve her aim.

The wavey dark texture used in this environment emphasises the majesty of the alter. The alter represents the great amount of power and courage there is in steping out and bringing about change. This is also enhanced by the blue beams that pulse up and down the centre of the alter.

Electroliquid Aggregation

Every individual matters and while we stand at the alter of change everyone makes a difference and has a role to play.

Developing the Ramp

The ramp that i chose to place in my UT environment is made up of 100m by 100m cubes. The ramp makes for a long and perilous journey to demonstrate and emphasise the idea of the individual and that the journey to stand out and make a difference may be hard and if you fail (or fall of the ramp..which is likely) then try again till you reach what you want to achieve. This is a common thread between both clients and so seems fitting in bringing them both together.
